Wiltshire Winter league round 3
Chippenham swimming club finished 4th in round 3 of the Wilts Winter league on Saturady night.
Racing over 39 relay races, Chippenahm ASC finished 4th to Swindon Tigersharks, Swindon Dolphins and Salisbury on Saturday 13th March.
Best result for Chippenham came from the 12 and under squad of Owen Wilson, Matthew Hare, George Claverly, James Tucker and Sam Miller. The boys won all 4 of their relay races to give Chippenham maximum points on the night. For the girls Charlotte Myers, Charity Moore, Katie Smith and Chelsea Chard won the U15 breast stroke relay.
Chippenham did enough to stay in line for a top 6 finish in the league of 23 with the finals being decided on 27th March.
Chippenham's squad were Jack Crow, Lewis Wilson, Shane Chard, David Smith, Henry Moore, George Tunnicliffe, Chris Waterfield, Joe Bailey, Jon Branston, Peter Holden, Maddie Harris, Rachel Moore, Beatrice Moore, Kalynn Branston, Evie Preece, Sapphire Randerson, Harriet Olgivie, Lilly Myers, Jessica Stafford, Chloe May and Emma Hollaway.

County Success for Chippenham
CHIPPENHAM Swimming Club got off to a great start at the weekend with a haul of 15 golds, 9 silvers and 9 bronze medals at the County Sprints held at Milton Road on Sunday 7 February.
ASA Competitive Performance Awards – Qualifying Times
Most people will be familiar with badges & certificates from the ASA Awards Scheme [currently sponsored by Kellogg's Frosties]. The highest level of this Scheme is the series of Competitive Swimming Performance awards. These can be gained in organised competitions, and we are using them as a motivational device during our Club Championships aimed primarily at our Age Group swimmers. As shown in the attached table, there are nationally laid down qualifying times for ascending sequences of BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD & PLATINUM badges.

Bumper Medal and Record Haul at County Championships
With the Long Distance, Sprint and Youth events completed and with the BAGCATs yet to come the Club's swimmers are set to beat last year's record haul of medals and records.
