Wiltshire Long Distance County Championships
Wiltshire County Long Distance Championships were held on the 26th January 2019, at Marlborough, for the 1500m freestyle and 24th February 2019, at Salisbury, for the 800m freestyle. Both events were available to either male or female competitors, subject to the minimum age required.
Chippenham ASC had two swimmers that entered and swam the 1500m freestyle, they were;
Louis Nicholls and Luke Brown
Louis swam well to finish first in his age group (gold medal), 3rd in the junior championship and 4th in the open championship. Louis also secured a Regional Qualification Time. Luke came third in his age group (bronze medal) and 8th in the open championship. Well done boys.
In the 800m Freestyle Chippenham ASC had 9 swimmers who entered and swam, they were;
Paige Lavelle, Isabelle Chappell, Holly Parker, Lillia Barnett, Rachel Wrench, Maddy Lavelle, Ella Parker, Louis Nicholls and Luke Brown.
All the swimmers swam well and many pbs were gained. Louis came 2nd (silver medal) in his age group, 4th in the junior championship and 7th in the open championship. He also secured a Regional Entry Time.
