2024 Wiltshire County Age Group & Championships
Chippenham ASC competes in the Wiltshire County ASA Age Group and Championship competition each year. The events are held on various dates in January and February at various 25m pools around the area.
All ages are determined at 31 December in the year of competition.
Age Groups are for swimmers between 10-13 years who swim all 50m and 100m events with age group finals (no finals for 100IM in 2023). 200m and 400m events are heat declared winners. Medals are awarded in the following age groups, 10/11 years, 12 years, 13 years.

In addition to these events Wiltshire County also offer a long distance competition over 800m and 1500m. This is open to swimmers over 12 years although a time trial is available for those 11 years who can qualify as 11/12 years at Regional competition. All swims are heat declared winners.
Finally, there is a sprint competition usually held at Milton Road pool in Swindon over 33m. This comprises of a mixed junior and senior relay team and one length sprints in all strokes. Age groups are 9 years (age on date of the sprint competition), 10 years, 11 years, 12 years, 13 years, 14 years, 15 years, 16 years, 17/18 years, 19 and over. (Sprints not offered in 2023)
Championship medals are determined from finals.
Junior Champions are determined from the finals and then using times from the heats.
Junior age is 15/under.
