This role supports the coaching team at competitions.  It requires you to undertake a short course.  

Help and support will be provided to enable you to feel confident in the role.

If you want to get close to the action, the time keeping is for you.  

We need timekeepers to be able to run our Club Championships.

Short online course followed by a practical session poolside to ensure you are happy with how it works

This starts with Level 1 and you can progress to Level 2 and on to becoming a Level 2 - Starter

• Level 1 - First level and it encompasses the role of timekeeper, chief timekeeper and inspector of turns
• Level 2 - All aspects of judging  and the theoretical role and duties of starter.  Responsible for ensuring all stroke rules are complied with
• Level 2 Starter - The starter's role is to ensure the start is fair for all swimmers

This is the highest level of qualification.  The Referee is in overall control of all aspects of the competition.

This is the start of your coaching journey and gets you poolside working with a qualified coach or teacher to support the delivery of the coaching programme

This is the first step on the ladder and allows you to deliver the training programme set by the Level 2 team

You will take a lead on writing the training programme in alignment to the Annual Plan set by the Head Coach.  You will also mentor and support the L1 team.
